PikScan vs HubSpot

Updated August 2026 · Factual category comparison

How we compare (methodology)

This page is a factual category comparison, not a lab benchmark. Claims about the other product summarize how it is commonly marketed (digital business cards, cloud lead capture, CRM, OCR scanner, etc.). Features, pricing and offline behaviour change over time — confirm on the vendor’s site before buying. PikScan is not affiliated with the brands named here. We do not claim that any third-party product is “non-compliant” or unsuitable for every use case.

Different layers of the stack

  • HubSpot: system of record for marketing/sales — cloud, multi-user, automations, reporting.
  • PikScan: field capture layer for exhibitions — local storage, OCR, qualification, follow-up queues, then file/CRM export.

Side-by-side (where people confuse them)

  • “CRM at the show”: Typing every badge into HubSpot on saturated Wi-Fi is slow and error-prone. PikScan captures offline; HubSpot remains the CRM.
  • Live sync: HubSpot can receive leads via many channels and integrations. PikScan Pro exports HubSpot-oriented files on demand (not a full HubSpot replacement).
  • Account: HubSpot requires a HubSpot account/portal. PikScan needs no PikScan account to start capturing.
  • Scope: HubSpot covers the whole funnel. PikScan covers show prep → floor → post-show follow-up handoff.

When HubSpot alone may be enough

  • Low volume of show leads and reliable connectivity
  • Your booth process already depends on live HubSpot forms/apps and staff trained for that
  • You do not need a dedicated offline show workspace

When PikScan + HubSpot fits

  • High card/badge volume on unreliable venue networks
  • You want hot/warm/cold and notes captured before data enters HubSpot
  • You prefer cleaning and exporting after the show into HubSpot as system of record
